As a global technological leader in energy information technology and management, Envision Energy has grown from a wind turbine manufacturer into a global leader of renewable energy management by integrating the global resources for the making of an innovation accelerator.
Superconductor wind turbine has long been deemed as the only path leading up to the manufacturing of 10-megawatt turbine units, which has therefore unleashed a turf war in the field of wind turbine makers.
Envision Energy has taken the lead in the world with the development of its EcoSwing superconductor wind turbine. In 2015, Envision’s disruptive superconductive generator EcoSwing received over a funding of 100 million Chinese Yuan from EU’s Horizon 2020 project. The revolutionary EcoSwing generator is thought to be the first superconductive generator designed for a wind turbine and is expected to cut down the cost of wind power generation by 30% in the future. This is also the largest financial funding Chinese enterprises have received in EU.
Envision Energy has relied on innovation and entrepreneurship for its growth momentum, as is evidenced by the production of its smart wind turbines and the global distribution of its renewable energy management, said Li Chunyang, its deputy CEO.
Envision Energy now has a pool of 1000 employees with 20% of them coming from overseas. 60% of its workforce holds MA and doctoral degrees. 80% of the employees are devoted to research and development.
Backed up by the huge reserve of talents, Envision has offices and R&D centers located strategically worldwide, including Global Innovation Centers in Denmark and the US, the Centre of Excellence in Hamburg, Germany and an Aerodynamics R&D Center in Colorado, US. These R&D facilities have contributed competitive products to enable Envision to consolidate its position as the market leader in the development of the smart wind generator that has smashed the technological restraints of the traditional generators and boosted the generation efficiency by 20%.
Its innovative development of the world’s first low speed wind turbine has helped China to restructure its wind power industrial layout and enabled the effective development of the low speed wind that make up 60% of the country’s low speed areas. Its development of the 4-megawatt offshore wind turbine has raised the power generation efficiency by 20% compared with similar products. These products of core competitiveness have helped Envision to consolidate its leading position as the global leader of renewable energy management.
Envision Energy is a world-leading energy technology service provider. The company’s businesses include the development and sales of Smart Wind Turbines, Smart Wind and Solar Software Services, and Energy Internet Technology Service.
Envision is the third largest turbine company in China and ranked among top 8 in the world. Over 7.5 GW of Envision’s smart wind turbines are in operation. As the world’s largest smart energy asset management services company, Envision manages 50 gigawatts of renewable energy across the globe including those of industry leaders such as Pattern Energy, Orion Renewable and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group.
Envision Energy’s vision is to enable solar and wind to become the primary energy sources by 2025, by using the latest IT and communication technologies such as cloud computing, advanced sensor and big data analytics to transform the conventional energy world.
