More than 700 athletes from Jiangsu province will take part in the competition of 241 events in the upcoming National Games that will take place in north China’s Tianjin city in September.
Former Olympic champions Zhong Man, Luo Xiaojuan and Xu Anqi were seen practicing at the fencing training hall of Nanjing Sports College.
34-year-old Zhong Man headed the men’s saber team to win the champions at the 11th and 12th National Games before he retired in 2013. This time, he has been summoned back to play the leading role in the preparation for this year’s National Games.
Physical strength is my drawback as I am making the comeback but I am more experienced, Zhong said.
