The Tian An Insurance Cup painting and calligraphy contest for young people in Nanjing and Wuxi went underway Monday in Nanjing. Organized by the Provincial Youth Calligraphy and Painting Association in the two cities, the competition aims to promote the Chinese culture, enhance the interest and cultivation of calligraphy and painting art among the youth and strengthen the cultural and artistic exchanges between the youth of the two cities. People who work and live in the two cities under the age of 18 are eligible to make the registration between August 21 and October 15 to participate in the competition. The contest has set no limitations on the content of the entries which will be displayed in Nanjing and Wuxi in November this year.
