A lantern festival will be held in Zhouzhuang Town, a water town in the southeast of Suzhou City, on September 20 to celebrate the coming Mid-Autumn Festival. It will feature a lantern light display for residents on both sides of the Straits.
The festival will involve four theme areas displaying over 120 light groups. They will feature elements of traditional Chinese and folk cultures and Taiwan region customs. Visitors will also be able gain a deeper understanding of the historic Zhouzhuang water town culture on a boat ride. The village landscapes will be illuminated by colorful lanterns on both sides.
