A delegation headed by Li Qiang, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu provincial committee, arrived in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Monday for an inspection tour concerning the implementation of the important speeches made by CPC general secretary Xi Jinping and the gist of the CPC central committee’s second working conference on the work in Xinjiang.
The Jiangsu delegation is also making the inspection tour to investigate the deployment of the arrangements made by the country’s sixth paired assistance for Xinjiang and the exchange of ideas on the cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting with the top leaders of Xinjiang, Li Qiang extended his congratulations on the new social and economic achievements Xinjiang has made in recent years.
LiQiang noted that in recent years, the CPC committee and the government of Xinjiang, under the guidance of the CPC Central Committee, has adhered to the rule of law, ethnic unity for stability and the goal of long-term construction by uniting the ethnic groups, establishing new development concepts, and adapting to the new normal economic development to promote social stability, economic development, religious harmony and other aspects of work in Xinjiang.
We should improve the political stance and earnestly regard the paired assistance for Xinjiang as the political responsibility and key work of Jiangsu by focusing on the in-depth expansion and intensification of the paired assistance programs, Li Qiang said.
The Jiangsu CPC chief also pledged that Jiangsu will give greater support to the paired assistance programs in Xinjiang through the promotion of industrial parks and the cooperation in employment, education, healthcare and other fields.
ChenQuanguo, secretary of the CPC Committee of Xinjiang, extended his warm welcome to the Jiangsu delegation for the long-term support Jiangsu has given to Xinjiang over the past years.
