The national final of the sixth session of "China Software Cup" College Students Software Design Competition went underway Wednesday in Nanjing to witness the participation of college students from more than 600 colleges and polytechnics.
The contest is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education, and the People's Government of Jiangsu province, with 4205 teams enrolled and 208 teams entering the finals. On-site job fairs will be held during the competition alongside with the 2017 Chinese software interactive work symposium and the investment and financing matchmaking meeting for the winning teams. Since the beginning of the 13th five-year-plan period in 2016, Jiangsu has seized the opportunities to develop its software industry with the formation of the Internet industry featuring competitive advantages to give a strong impetus to the province’s transformation and upgrading.
