The China finals of the 2017 Miss Earth pageant were held in Changzhou, east China’s Jiangsu province, on Sunday afternoon.
Zhan Mei from northeast China’s Liaoning province won the title in a field of 25 contestants from various places in China. She will represent China in the Miss Earth pageant, which is scheduled to be held in Manila, the Philippines, on Nov 4.
As an international beauty pageant covering over 90 countries and regions in the world, the Miss Earth pageant has been held 17 times since 2001 and is one of the world’s top-four beauty pageants. The others are Miss International, Miss World and Miss Universe.
