Administrative service fees and various types of operating services charge is the day-to-day cost of business operations and also a part of operating costs. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, price watchdog agencies at all levels in Jiangsu has made unremitting efforts to reduce administrative charges to ease the burden on the local enterprises.
Suzhou Qisda Electric Co., Ltd, an ODM/OEM service provider of electronic products for consumer, commercial, medical, and industrial applications, is making the final inspection on thelatest batch of orders for LCD from Europe before delivering them to the warehouse.
Five years ago, the company’s documentation department would go through the electronic payment of inspection and quarantine charges before the information was submitted.
With the country scraping the charges on this item in the latter half of 2012, the company has been paying less and less fees on the inspection and quarantine process until exempted of all the charges before the products are exported.
In recent years, the price watchdog agencies in Jiangsu have been spearheading the elimination of administrative charges to cut the operating costs for the local enterprises.
The price control authorities have also carried out inventory management in a bid to further reduce the administrative service fees and the operating service charges while cracking down on the various kinds of illegal charges levied on enterprises.
In the past it was the routine for some pre-approval items to be approved until going through many processes, seriously affecting the efficiency of administrative examination and approval.
By clearing charges, reducing operating costs and alleviating burdens, the price control authorities at all levels in Jiangsu have straightened out inter-departmental relations and cutting the burden on brick-and-mortar enterprises.
Up to now, the items of administrative fees and charges have been reduced from 187 in 2012 to 48 and the items of operating fees and charges fixed by the government from 264 to 30.
Since early last year, the amount of the corporate charges and fees eliminated, scraped or reduced has amounted to some 14 billion yuan.
At the same time, the provincial authorities have reducedthe electricity prices for general commercial and industrial enterprises with the annual reduction of energy consumption for industrial and commercial enterprises adding up to 14 billion yuan.
Since early 2016, the amount of corporate costs reduced through institutional transaction costs, energy costs, logistics costs and other items has added up to 30 billion yuan.
