The elevated railroad in the Siyang section of the Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai’an-Yancheng railway was under construction by the 3rd Branch Company of the 11th Bureau of the China Railway Construction Company on Monday. As an important auxiliary passage of the Beijing-Shanghai railway line, the Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai’an-Yancheng railway is scheduled to be put to use in 2019. After it goes into operation, travel time from areas in the northern portion of East China's Jiangsu province to Nanjing and Shanghai will be greatly shortened.
