Twelve overseas students at Nanjing University visited the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders on November 8, where they watched the exhibition titled "Bearing Joint Witness to the Nanjing Massacre in 1937" and the documentary titled "Nanjing Massacre in the Eyes of Foreigners".

The twelve students are from Malaysia, the U.S., the Philippines, Pakistan, Germany, Norway and South Korea.

It was the first time that Blanca from Germany visited the memorial. She told the reporter that she didn't know about Nanjing Massacre until she came to study in China last year, and the visit gave her a much deeper feeling about that tragedy than the cold number of 300,000 victims.

Kevin from the Philippines said that he learnt about that period of history from the movie The Flowers of War, and the pictures exhibited at the memorial deepened his understanding of the Nanjing Massacre.

Robert from the U.S. said he knew about the massacre from the book when he was 13 years old, and the pictures in the memorial about Europeans and Americans rescuing the victims left a deep impression on him.
