According to the long-established method of making medicinal paste, traditional Chinese medicines have to be soaked, cooked twice, stripped of the dross, stewed and reduced with auxiliary materials. It takes about 20 hours to cook a batch of quality medicinal paste.
The medicinal paste team at Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine created a pre-concentrated paste with a uniform medicinal effect. It is made with grains used in traditional Chinese medicine and can be produced in a half-hour. Different types of pastes target different groups of people and diseases.
