Over one thousand students and teachers of Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Architectural Technology attended a memorial service for a 23-year-old student on Dec 20.
Zhang donated his heart, liver, kidneys and binocular corneas, brought hope and life to other people, who were in desperate need of healthy organs.
Zhang Zhenming is from Jiexi county of Guangdong province. He had a medical examination on Nov 12 and the results showed that he had a brain tumor. Zhang asked his father to donate his organs if the surgery was not successful.
After the tumor removal surgery, he experienced a sudden cerebral hemorrhage on the same day, and then passed away on Nov 30. His family made the organ donation according to his last wishes.
