The two leaders witnessed the signing of the documents on education cooperation between the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Commerce, Hodo Group and the Sihanouk Special Economic Zone Training Center in Cambodia.
According to the document, the tripartite joint efforts will reinforce professional technology training, continue teacher education and deepen culture exchanges in the Sihanouk Special Economic Zone Training Center in Cambodia.
The Wuxi Vocational Institute of Commerce actively responds to the Belt and Road Initiative and established an overseas higher education institute – the Sihanouk Special Economic Zone Training Center -- in Cambodia in 2012.
Cooperating with Hodo Group, the institute has offered free training to SSEZ workers, amounting to over 2.5 thousand person-times over six years. The institute always welcomes international students with open arms and has created a precedent for domestic enterprises which invest abroad to develop local talents and technologies.
This year celebrates 60 years of diplomatic ties between China and Cambodia. Hun Sen said China has been a good friend and cooperative partner, and he believes Li's visit, taking place in the 60th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the nations, will further consolidate Sino-Cambodian ties.
