The Jiangsu delegation to the annual session of the National People’s Congress, China’s top legislature, held its first plenum Saturday afternoon in Beijing. Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and head of the provincial legislature, was named head of the delegation. Wu Zhenglong, Jiang Zhuoqing, Wang Like and Chen Zhenning were named deputy director of the 149-member delegation. The first session of the National People’s Congress is slated to open on Monday in Beijing.
