Nanjing University in east China’s Jiangsu Province announced the launch of its Artificial Intelligence Department on Tuesday.
The department will be spearheaded by the leading Chinese computer scientist Zhou Zhihua.
According to the announcement issued by Nanjing University, the AI Department was set when AI technology has entered a new era; and when the country is fully implementing the strategy for science and technology development.
It is going to explore new mode to combine research with the AI industry and nurture more elites in this field.
