Nanjing Lukou International Airport will start its summer and autumn flight schedule on March 25 with 10 new routes, bringing the total number of routes to 261, among them 222 for passenger flights and the rest for cargo.
On the new schedule, the most important change is two new intercontinental flights, following direct flights from Nanjing to Frankfurt, Sydney, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Milan and St. Petersburg. Russian charter airline I-Fly will start a weekly flight from Nanjing to Moscow on April 11 with an A330 plane for the 9.5-hour journey. Then on May 14, Finnair will begin flying three times a week from Nanjing to Helsinki, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, with an A330 jetliner.
The airport also started a direct flight to Yancheng City, a 100 yuan, 50-minute journey by Hongtu Airlines. Lianyungang City is also now directly connected by air with a 45-minute flight.
