了解苏州，就要从山塘街开始。如果你春节到这里来，你仿佛能探寻到古城苏州的烟火和喧嚣。

山塘街位于江苏省苏州古城西北，东西红尘中"一二等富贵风流之地"阊门，西至"吴中第一名胜"虎丘，全长约3600米，约合七华里，故称"七里山塘到虎丘"。
山塘街以其独特的地理位置、优越的水陆交通条件和独具特色的街区风貌，逐渐成为吴文化的展示窗口和苏式生活的体验地，是古城苏州城市发展的独特资源和文化旅游的特色名片。
Shantang Street also known as Seven-mile Shantang , is a street in northwestern Gusu District, Suzhou, Jiangsu, China.The street connects Changmen in the east with Huqiu in the west, with a total length of about 3,829.6 meters.
Along with Pingjiang Road, the street was declared a Historical and cultural block of China in 2015.

京杭大运河是世界上最长的古代运河。南起余杭（今杭州），北到涿郡（今北京），流经天津、河北、河南、山东、江苏和浙江，沟通海河、黄河、淮河、长江和钱塘江五大水系，全长1797千米。
京杭大运河对中国南北地区之间的经济、文化发展与交流，特别是对沿线地区工农业经济的发展和城镇的兴起均起到了推动作用。2014年6月22日，“大运河”作为文化遗产正式列入世界遗产名录。
The Grand Canal, known to the Chinese as the Beijing–Hangzhou Grand Canal , a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the longest as well as one of the oldestcanal or artificial river in the world and a famous tourist destination.Starting at Beijing, it passes through Tianjin and the provinces of Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiangto the city of Hangzhou, linking the Yellow River and Yangtze River. The oldest parts of the canal date back to the 5th century BC.The total length of the Grand Canal is 1,776 km.
