The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting Monday to study the implementation of the methods to strengthen cyber security and online information scrutiny across the province. Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, presided over the meeting.
In recent years, Jiangsu has implemented the spirit of the Central Government by integrating with the reality of the province and revolutionizing the means of cyber security and online information scrutiny to come up with fruitful work in the monitoring of Internet-based information and lay a solid foundation for the development of informationization step by step, according to a statement released after the meeting.
General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the national cyber security and informationization work conference systematically elaborated the strategic thinking of building the country's strength in cyberspace and answered a series of major theoretical and practical issues concerning the development of online information, which is the guide for cyber security in the new era and a pragmatic document for the development of informationization, the statement said.
We must act in accordance with the new requirements of Xi Jinping’s strategic thinking on building the country's strength in cyberspace with reference to the development of cyber security and information technology at home and abroad so as to build the province’s strength in cyberspace by sticking to the problem-oriented approach and troubleshooting the gaps and deficiencies in the relevant fields for the promotion of the high-quality development of the province's cyber security and online information scrutiny, the statement said.
The meeting urged competent departments to strengthen cyber security and online informationization scrutiny so as to grasp the laws of the Internet, guiding Internet-based public opinion, and tighten the development of informationization in a comprehensive way.
