When presiding over the study session, Lou Qinjian, secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, stressed that it is necessary to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, insist on political construction as the primary task of managing the party and regard political principles as the fundamental principle governing the party, taking political standards as the primary criterion for governing the party so as to create a new situation for the province to strictly manage the party.
The participants reached a consensus that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during the sixth collective study session of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee made a systematic exposition of the party’s political construction and put forward clear requirements by highlighting the important position of political construction in party building, clarifying the main direction of promoting the party's political construction and making a profound summary of the historical experience of party building, especially the comprehensive and strict management of the party's experience since the 18th CPC National Congress.
General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech is an important principle for the party to strengthen its own construction under the conditions of long-term governance by providing a fundamental follow-up to the political construction of the party in the new era, the participants agreed.
Political construction is the fundamental construction of the party, the participants said, adding that to strengthen the political construction of the party in the province, we must treat Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics as the highest political principle so as to inspire new actions in the new era with a strong sense of mission.
In his speech, Lou Qinjian pointed out that the party building in the province needs to be further strengthened and improved in line with the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping and in accordance with the general requirements for the construction of the party in the new era.
We must enhance our consciousness in accordance with the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping to enhance political construction and improve the quality of party building so as to make the party organizations at all levels in the province stronger and stronger, Lou Qinjian said.
