The first batch of used car tire containers sent from Japan to Kyrgyzstan via China was shipped to Lianyungang where the unpacking and casing operation was done in the SCO Lianyungang International Logistics Park. This is the first time China has undertaken the operation of transporting used tires and tires for transshipment since the opening of the New Eurasian Continental Bridge in 1992.

In the unpacking and casing operation, the workers classified the tires according to the size. The tires of the same size are stacked together and then transported in a cross-pack. In the past, the unpacking of second-hand tires exported from Japan was carried out in the Japanese loading port. However, the facts that Japan has fewer workers in the port, the long operating hours, and high labor costs make the shipment susceptible to time constraints.

After making in-depth investigation of Japanese demand, the SCO International Logistics Park developed a logistics and transportation solution to have seized the second-hand car tire casing operation business.

The unpacking of the 12000 used car tires will be done in about ten days. 200000 used car tires will be unpacked in Lianyungang within the year if the business goes on smoothly. 8000000 or even 1 million used car tires will be dealt with in Lianyungang the next year to give incentive to the port citys economic growth.
