There are still more than ten days from the Double Eleven shopping spree but major e-retailers have launched aggressive promotions for the online shopping festival. Jingdong.com has launched super promotions that will last 27 days, and Alibaba has for the first time consolidated its entire power of the digital economy.

During this year’s "Double Eleven" promotion period, JD.com will rely on the advantages of its retail infrastructure to continuously integrate the superior resources inside and outside the platforms so as to create a new standard for the new era of retail industry consumption services with high-quality shopping experiences both online and offline.

JD.com has also announced that during the large-scale promotion period, 600,000 stores will be linked to create an online and offline consistent shopping experience, including Jingdong Home, Jingdong Convenience Store, Jingdong X Unmanned Supermarket, 7fresh and other innovative formats that also integrate the cooperation between Jingdong and Red Bean, Qumei and many other brands.

JD.com will also give full play to the powerful capabilities accumulated by the global precision marketing, the full chain intelligent supply chain and the immersive store technology, helping the brands to provide consumers with a high quality and consistent shopping experience centering on consumers, goods and stores.

Meanwhile, Alibaba, the world's biggest e-commerce platform, is also highlighting the ecological effects of online and offline connection. Alibaba's offline consumption scenes such as Taobao, Tmall, Leisure Fish, Flying Pig, Youku, and Shrimp Music, as well as Yintai Mall, RT-Mart and other stores are fully involved to cover all scenarios of everyday consumption.

Last year, global netizens set a new sales record of 253.97 billion yuan or more than 38 billion U.S. dollars on China's major e-commerce platforms during the country's ninth annual one-day "Double Eleven" or "Singles' Day" shopping festival.

Initiated by Alibaba on Nov 11, 2009, Double Eleven has become China's largest annual online shopping day, similar to Black Friday in the United States.
