The China International Import Expo kicked off Monday morning in Shanghai. This is the world's first large-scale import-themed national exhibition. Enterprises in Jiangsu hope to take advantage of the opportunity to purchase advanced foreign equipment and learn from international advanced experience and development concepts for the promotion of high-quality development.
733 buyers and 2078 purchasers from Suzhou Industrial Park have got prepared for the expo.
Suzhou Jinlong, contributing 90% to the export of China's high-end passenger cars, is the fastest-growing enterprise in China's bus industry. The company has prepared US$10 million for the purchase of auto parts from global outstanding enterprises to strengthen its focus on new energy power technologies.
Commerce and finance departments in various parts of the province are also gearing up to help local enterprises seek matchmaking opportunities with foreign exhibitors at the expo.
Some 2000 enterprises and 50000 visitors from Jiangsu are expected to participate in the expo.
2800 enterprises from over 130 countries and regions will take part in the expo, including more than 200 Fortune 500 companies and multinationals. Many of them will showcase their off-the-shelf products and technologies.
A total of 2,800 companies from all the G20 member states, as well as 50 countries and regions along the Belt and Road will participate in the expo.
Of the world's 44 least developed countries, more than 30 will be present at the event.
More than 100 new products and technologies are expected to make debut at the expo, according to statistics from the organizers.
