The 6th session of the 13th Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee opened in NanjingMonday afternoon. The first plenary meeting was presided over Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress.
The meeting voted on the agenda and schedule of this meeting. Chen Mengmeng, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, briefed the participants on the agendas. 45 motions will be reviewed over a period of four and a half days.
The meeting of the chairpersons of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress submitted a proposal for the consideration of the draft version of the Decision of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Jiangsu Province on Supporting and Safeguarding the Development of Higher Quality Integration in the Yangtze River Delta Region , the Proposal on the Draft Amendment of 18 RegionalRegulations and the Proposal on Abolishing the Environmental Protection Regulations of Jiangsu Province.
The Provincial People's Congress Internal and Judicial Affairs Committee submitted to the meeting a proposal for the consideration of the draft version of the Regulations on the Promotion of Family Education in Jiangsu Province.
The provincial government submitted to the meeting three motions for review. The motions include the Regulations on Waterway Transportation and Transportation in Jiangsu Province, the draft version of Jiangsu Province Marine Economy Promotion Regulations, and the draft version of Jiangsu Province Vocational Education School-Enterprise Cooperation Promotion Regulations. Aproposal was submitted to the meeting concerning granting the title of "Jiangsu Province Honorary Resident" to 14 international friends.
The Provincial People's Congress Financial and Economic Committee, the Agriculture Committee, the Education, Science and Technology Committee, and the Foreign Affairs and Tourism Committeesubmitted reports on the review of relevant proposals.
The Credentials Committee of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress submitted a report on the eligibility of the some delegates.
The Standing Committee of Nanjing Municipal People's Congress submitted to the meeting proposals on the revision of 14 local regulations for review and approval.
