463 technicians and students from across the province will compete for varied titles in the three-day 4th Jiangsu Skilled Masters Competition that went underway Saturday in Zhenjiang city.
Zisha pottery, which enjoys distinctive historical and cultural characteristics pertinent to Jiangsu, is listed as a traditional project for local talents to show their craftsmanship for the first time, which will help further promote the inheritance and innovation of traditional classic industries.
Traditional technical competitions have also given new vitality as the contestants in the agricultural machinery repair group continuously enhanced their professional ability to inspect and repair the fast-developing agricultural machinery.
This year’s competition pays more attention to the cultivation of new industries and young technical talents. The participants of the youth group include young students and workshop technicians at enterprises and institutions.
The winners of the first prize of the workers group will be awarded the honorary title of Jiangsu Skilled Masters by the provincial government.
