Yang said according to the central government's deployment, the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference established the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee with all the work getting off to a flying start, adding that that it is necessary to actively contribute ideas and suggestions, follow the CPC Central Committee’s scientific judgment and decision-making arrangements on the situation in terms of thoughts and actions, focus on key issues and major issues, and do a good job in investigation and research to improve the quality of performance.
Zheng Jianbang said that the joint investigation launched by the special committee of CPPCC and the Central Committees of non-communist parties is a major innovation in the work of the CPPCC, adding that the special committees should carry out multi-level research and discussion with the Central Committees of non-communist parties for the constant promotion of multi-party cooperation and the sustainable development of the CPPCC work.
Luo Zhijun reviewed and summarized the main work done since the establishment of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, and put forward clear requirements for doing a good job in the work of the special committee in 2018.
