Nanjing built and renovated a total of 22 city parks in 2018, including those at Mengdu Street, Chaoyang Xiyuan and Shangyuan City Gate, local media reported on January 24.
For this year, Nanjing plans to build 12 new parks, complete the renovation projects at four sites, and further improve the urban greenery coverage rate.
In addition, Nanjing will build 299 km of greenway around key areas such as hills, parks, riversides and City Wall of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
The city will also improve trees along roads or for sightseeing purpose and build a flower wall extending about 3 kilometers as part of measures to enhance the city’s landscape.
