Jobs fairs have been held in various parts of Jiangsu province to ensure that the would-be college graduates will land their first jobs.
A spring job fair for college graduates was held in the gymnasium of Zhangjiagang, a small city in the east of the province.
350 enterprises offered over 6200 vacancies for the would-be college graduates.
The enterprises were arranged into different categories such as those above the designated industrial scale, flagship enterprises and comprehensive ones.
Tao Yan, a marketing major of Soochow University, submitted a resume to Shagang Steel Group.
Shagang Group, the country’s leading private steel maker, will recruit more than 80 college graduates in a bid to accelerate the transformation and upgrading and promote the high-quality development. Most of the jobs will be science and technology posts.
2900 job seekers reached initial employment intention with their prospective employers when the job fair closed at four in the afternoon.
A job fair at Lianyungang city also attracted hosts of would-be college graduates. Enterprises in the new medicine, new materials and manufacturing sectors offered 1956 jobs in response to 9428 job seekers.
