Wuxi's regional GDP reached over 1.14386 trillion yuan in 2018, a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent, according to data released by the city’s Bureau of Statistics on January 28.
The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size rose by 9.0 percent to 361.87 billion yuan, the highest growth in Jiangsu.
In 2018, the per capita disposable income of all residents stood at 50,373 yuan, up 8.6 percent year on year. Separately, urban and rural per capita disposable income reached 56,987 yuan and 30,787 yuan, up 8.2 percent and 8.6 percent respectively.
The minimum standard of basic pensions for urban and rural residents citywide was raised to 450 yuan per month, and the standard of minimum subsistence allowances was set at 900 yuan per person a month.
In 2018, Wuxi’s annual fiscal income rose to 101.228 billion yuan, up 8.8 percent year on year. The tax revenue jumped 14.4 percent year on year to reach 86.051 billion yuan.
Wuxi also reported 512 million express packages delivered in 2018, a rise of 8.8 percent, and the revenue totaled 5.883 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 6.5 percent.
