The work reports of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate have sparked heated discussions among the NPC deputies and CPPCC members from Jiangsu. They argued that the reports are closely linked to the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee by keeping pace with the development of the new era, living up to people’s expectations, and keeping abreast of the practice of reform and development of the law.
The Jiangsu delegation to the Second Session of the 13th National People's Congress held a panel meeting Wednesday to review the work report of the Supreme People's Court and the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate. The NPC deputies believed that the two reports embodies Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and runs through the main line of work for the judiciary and justice for this year.
They noted that greater efforts should be made to promote judicial reform and judicial credibility, better meet the people's new demands for the protection of rights and interests, effectively promote social fairness and justice, and continuously enhance the people's sense of acquisition, happiness, and security.
Wang Jincheng, 全国人大代表 王静成
The two reports reflect the people-centered approach
and the construction of the integrity system
is inseparable from the protection of the judiciary
and the participation of the judiciary
We suggest that the judicial system
be more involved in the construction of the integrity system
create an environment
and punish the defaulters
those who have failed to fulfill court orders
Hu Ye, NPC deputy全国人大代表 胡冶
It is suggested that the Supreme People's Court
and the Supreme People's Procuratorate
should focus on a number of typical cases
in public interest litigation
make analysis of the cases
and standardize the judicial yardstick
through standardized
normalized and institutionalized means
so that the people can feel fairness
and justice in every judicial case
In Tuesday’s panel discussions, the CPPCC members from Jiangsu also made suggestions to strengthen the construction of grassroots judicial teams, promote universal legal education, and effectively resolve the difficulty to enforce the law from the source.
Hong Huimin, CPPCC member全国政协委员 洪慧民
Because the judiciary directly faces ordinary people
courts and grass-roots procuratorates
at the grass-roots level
should make ensure that
the handling of each judicial case
must reflect justice and fairness
It is necessary to deepen the reform
of the judicial system
and further improve judicial team building
Judicial workers in Jiangsu have felt the responsibility in response to the deployment made in the reports of Supreme People's Court and the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate on the crackdown on mafia-style groups and the strengthening of property rights protection. Everyone said that it is necessary to further improve the foresightedness, pertinence, and preciseness of the development of high-quality services, and provide legal escort in key areas such as strengthening intellectual property protection, standardizing market economic order, and doing a good job in the tough battles against major risks, poverty alleviation and pollution control.

to the people with high quality trials
Wu Xiaohong, Director of Civil Administrative Prosecution Office of Changzhou People's Procuratorate常州市人民检察院民事行政检察处处长 吴小红
We must further focus on the key issues

so that the people can gain access
to a better environment
safer food
and more comfortable life
Yang Dawei, Research Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate江苏省人民检察院研究室 杨大为

handle every specific judicial case
and study every legal policy issue
so as to truly incorporate the work requirements
of the central government
and the Supreme People's Procuratorate
the NPC deputies and the CPPCC members
into the procuratorial work
