The China and Nordic Innovation Cooperation Demonstration Park was launched at the Nanjing Jiangbei New Area Industrial Technology Research and Innovation Park (NJITRIP) on March 27.
The cooperation demonstration park will host the transfer of innovative technologies from Nordic countries including Sweden and Finland and develop itself into a role model in the field of technical cooperation between China and Northern Europe.
China-Sweden Life Science and Technology Innovation Institute and China-Sweden Life Health Public Service Platform were unveiled at the opening ceremony. Nine R&D projects, led by professors of Karolinska Institute and other institutes, also announced their operations in the new park. These projects focus on life health industry and promote an innovation development chain that combines “introducing technology, technology transfer and new technical innovation”.
Taking this event as an opportunity, Jiangbei New Area will further enhance its international innovation cooperation, introduce high-end innovative resources, and strengthen strategic cooperation with global S&T innovation hubs, such as Boston, Silicon Valley, Cambridge, Oxford, and Nordic regions. Jiangbei New Area also vows to build a new international S&T innovation platform, promote the regular cooperation between specific parks and internationally renowned universities and research institutions, and help local enterprises to become part of the global innovation network.
