April.5th is Tomb Sweeping Day (Qingming Festival). It is a traditional chinese festival,not only a solemn festival for sweeping the tombs and worshiping the ancestors but also a good festival to close to the nature and enjoy the spring.
The green rice ball is Tomb Sweeping Day(Qingming Festival)food popular in Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces. It is also a must-have offering at ancestral rituals in the south of the Yangtze River. The green color comes from Mugwrot(if you hardly find it, you can use other green vegetable juice instead,such as spinach).It is made of glutinous rice flour and rice flour stuffed with red bean paste,meat,vegetable and so on.
Rencently some students from Skema Business school learnt to make the green rice ball from chinese teacher.
