Jiangsu Academy of Science and Technology Development Strategy has officially released the list of ‘2018 Top 100 Innovative Enterprises in Jiangsu Province ’. It shows that NARI Group Corporation, Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and Trina Solar are among the top three on the list, Hengrui Medicine, ZTT Group, Envision Group, Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel Works Co., Ltd., JSTI Group, Jiangsu Changjiang Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. and CRRC Qishuyan Co., Ltd. ranking from the top four to ten.
In terms of geographical distribution, there are 72 in south Jiangsu, 18 in central Jiangsu and 10 in north Jiangsu. It is known that the evaluation is based on innovation level from four respects: the innovation input, innovation output, innovation performance and innovation management.
Four distinctive characteristics of Top 100 Innovative Enterprises:
First, strong capacity for independent innovation. Among the top 100 innovative enterprises, internal expenditure on R&D accounts for 3.2% of sales revenue on average, and R&D personnel accounts for 15.8% of employees, 2.6 times and 2.8 times of industrial enterprises above designated size respectively. 90% of the enterprises are high-tech enterprises or core subsidiaries are high-tech enterprises, all enterprises having established R&D institutions. All of them have independent intellectual property rights, 332.7 valid patents per enterprise, and 133.6 valid invention patents per enterprise.
Second, good enterprise economic performance. In 2017, the top 100 innovative enterprises realized main business revenue of 763.4 billion yuan and profit and tax of 98.1 billion yuan, with an average sales profit and tax rate of 12.8%. There are 18 companies with a scale of over 10 billion yuan, 33 companies with a scale of over 5 billion yuan, and 75 companies with a scale of over 1 billion yuan.
Third, great influence in the industry. Among the top 100 innovative enterprises, 72 have been listed in the provincial innovative leading enterprises cultivation database, 33 have won the national or provincial science and technology progress award, and 40 have participated in or presided over the formulation of national or international standards, with strong influence and driving force in the industry.
Fourth, high level of innovation management. The top 100 innovative enterprises have generally established a modern enterprise system and a relatively complete corporate governance structure, quality assurance system, intellectual property rights and brand management system. Great importance is attached to the introduction and training of high-tech talents, and the proportion of those with master's degree or above accounts for 5.5%.
