China’s civil aviation recorded a year-on-year increase of 4.6% in the total turnover of transportation completed by the civil aviation industry in April, according to a press release held by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
In April of this year, the on-time performance rate of domestic flights was 76.8%, down 1.81 percentage points year on year, and a decline of 8.11 percentage points from March. In terms of the proportion of flight delays, the weather in April accounted for 45.75% of all delayed flights, an increase of nearly 8 percentage points over the same period last year.
The Implementation Opinions on Coordinating the Promotion of Cost Reduction for Civil Aviation issued by the Civil Aviation Administration recently aims to reduce the operating costs of aviation enterprises and give more benefits to consumers. The cost reduction measures mainly include reasonable reduction of the burden of corporate taxes and fees and the provision of more convenient and comfortable air transportation services to consumers.
