China Sea-Salt Museum is the only museum in China that presents China’s sea-salt history and civilization. It is in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province between Chuanchang River, a man-made river for salt delivery, and Fangong Dike, a famous sea wall in Song Dynasty. It occupies a floor space of 60,000 square meters with its body building of 18,000 square meters. China Sea-salt Museum was completed and thrown open to the public in November 2008.
At present, the renovation project of the Museum has been basically completed. The museum has been open for trial operation since May 18, 2019. The museum opens from 9:00 to 17:00 every Tuesday to Sunday.
