Nanjing Lukou International Airport has announced that a new international flight from Nanjing to Vladivostok shall commence operation on 28 June, 2019.

The service, operated by Shanghai-based Juneyao Airlines, shall link Nanjing and the northeastern Russian city with a flight time of approximately 3 hours, 45 minutes. Vladisvostok is 2 hours ahead of China, or 10 hours ahead of GMT, also known as UTC.

Operated using Airbus A320 equipment, flight HO1603 shall take off from Nanjing Lukou International Airport at 22:55 on Mondays and Fridays, arriving at Vladivostok International Airport at 04:30 the following morning.

For the return leg, flight HO1604 shall depart Vladivostok on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 05:30 and arrive in Nanjing at 07:20.

Vladivostok International Airport is one of the most modern airports in Russia, with a 10,500 foot runway that can allow any kind of aircraft to land and take off.

Vladivostok is famous for its architecture in German Gothic and Romanesque styles

Given its remarkable proximity to the Russian border with China, Vladivostok offers surprisingly few air links to the Chinese mainland. Indeed, the new flights to and from Nanjing shall be only the fourth such service, following Beijing, Shanghai and Haerbin.

With a population today of approximately 600,000, Vladivostok has traditionally been a jumping-off point for both China and North Korea. Both countries have had a profound effect of the culture of the city, while visitors from China will have little difficulty in being understood when speaking Mandarin.

2019 has been a great year for Nanjing’s airport so far, with a slew of new direct international flights being launched, giving lucky Nanjingers a bewildering array of holiday choices that will make it a bumper summer for tourist destinations in the eastern Asia region.
