On June 25, a painting exhibition entitled “I PAINT SUZHOU” opened at Paris Hall on Pingjiang Road. It features oil paintings, Chinese paintings and gouache paintings created by a group of Chinese and French artists who spent 10 days touring around Suzhou and depicting its gardens, museums, streets and bridges. The works give a vivid description of the incomparable beauty and elegance of the city.
This year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. It is also an important year for Sino-French artistic and cultural exchanges. China and France are both countries of profound culture and their people share a common pursuit of beauty.
