Taicang in Jiangsu province has made substantial progress in mechanizing its agricultural industry, local media reported on Sept 30.
A group of just 14 farmers are now able to successfully manage 2,200 mu (146.67 hectares) of farm land while also lending a hand to nearby farmers through the use of advanced farming equipment.
By the end of 2018, farmers in Taicang had purchased 17,524 pieces of farming equipment, increasing the mechanization rate to a record high of 94 percent.
