The Taicang Aviation Industrial Park was inaugurated and put into operation during the 2019 Golden Winter Economic and Trade Month in Taicang, Jiangsu province on Oct 23.
With an investment of 2 billion yuan ($283 million), the industrial park will cover an area of 318 mu (21.2 hectares) and serve as an important R&D center for the aviation industry as well as a manufacturing base and industrial tourism park in China's Yangtze River Delta region.
It will focus on core aviation sectors: intelligent manufacturing, airborne equipment, aero-engine and critical materials as well as their supporting industries, including aviation industry-related tourism and aviation talent training. The estimated annual output of the park is 6 billion yuan.
Shen Mi, Party secretary of Taicang, called on the park to do all it can to serve the enterprises, research institutes, and talents involved in the aviation sector.
