East China’s Jiangsu province has made greater inroads into more overseas markets by taking advantage of the Belt and Road Initiative and boosting economic and trade ties with Belt and Road countries, according to the Jiangsu listed company overseas investment conference and "Belt and Road" investment promotion meeting that was held Monday in Nanjing.
Up to now, 586 companies from Jiangsu have been listed at home and abroad. 168 of them were listed at overseas stock markets. The number of listed companies ranks third in the country, second only to Guangdong and Zhejiang.
By the third quarter of this year, Jiangsu had launched more than 1,000 investment projects in the countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”, with an agreed investment of 15.77 billion US dollars, accounting for 44% in Jiangsu's overseas investment compared with 19% in 2014.
