In the first three quarters of this year, Jiangsu promoted the development of rural industry integration, as is evidenced by the rapid growth in the development of rural primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
According to statistics, from January to September this year, Jiangsu increased its number of agricultural industry towns and China's "one village, one product" demonstration villages to 31 and 144 respectively, ranking first and third in China.
The sales volume of flagship agricultural enterprises above the provincial level exceeded 600 billion yuan, an increase of about 6% year-on-year. A rural industrial system with Jiangsu characteristics is gradually taking shape.
The strongest development was seen in new industries and new businesses represented by rural e-commerce and leisure tourism. According to statistics, from January to September, the online trade volume of Jiangsu agricultural products and the comprehensive income of leisure and sightseeing agriculture increased by more than 30% and 15% respectively.
Thanks to the vigorous development of the rural industry, in the first three quarters of this year, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in Jiangsu is expected to increase by about 8.7% year-on-year, with the growth rate higher than GDP and urban residents.
