East China’s Jiangsu province will introduce key measures to support employment, according to a guideline released Thursday by the Provincial Government.
In the first 10 months of the year, 1 million and 226,800 jobs were created in cities and towns in the province, exceeding the annual tasks ahead of schedule.
The Suzhou Human Resources and Social Security Department returned stable post subsidies in proportion to the unemployment insurance payments actually paid by the enterprise and its employees.
15 enterprises received 32.811 million stable post subsidies on the spot. In Suzhou, a total of 5565 enterprises received 280 million stable post subsidies.

In the meantime, various regions in Jiangsu have actively expanded employment space to promote employment. The city of Nanjing has upgraded various preferential support policies and services so that more university graduates have been included in the employment insurance scheme. In the first 10 months of this year, 350,000 newly-employed graduates with junior degrees or above subscribed to the insurance scheme, exceeding the annual total of 340,000 last year.
A series of pragmatic measures have ensured the overall stability of employment in Jiangsu. From January to October, 1 million and 226,800 jobs were created in cities and towns in the province, 2.23% higher than the annual target.
At the end of October, the registered urban unemployment rate in the province was 3%, 0.61 percentage point lower than the national average. 91,600 of the 93,900 non-employed college graduates registered under real names have so far got job, representing an employment rate of 97.53%.
