A 1,300-ton self-propelled wind power installation ship was delivered in Qidong County, Jiangsu province, on Monday. The ship is the first of its kind manufactured by China on its own.
The 1,300-ton self-propelled wind power installation ship was invested by China Railway Construction Port and Shipping Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It was built by Qidong COSCO Marine Offshore.
Its delivery indicates that China has added a set of new offshore heavy equipment in its offshore wind power construction sector.
The ship can independently complete the whole process of large-scale wind turbine foundation sinking and wind turbine installation, which will greatly improve the construction efficiency and safety performance.
