The provincial leadership of Jiangsu has taken the lead to donate money to support the battle against the novel coronavirus epidemic or COVID-19.
Leaders of the Provincial CPC Committee, the Provincial Government, the Provincial People’s Congress and the Provincial Committee of the CPPCC made the donation on Thursday. They include Lou Qinjian, Wu Zhenglong, Huang Lixin and Ren Zhenhe. The donation will be used to subsidize medical staff in the frontline of epidemic prevention and control, officials and people in the grassroots communities, police officers, community workers and people in financial difficulties and the families of the people who lost life to the coronavirus epidemic. Xi Jinping and other members of the Standing Committee of the Politbureau made donations to express support for novel coronavirus control at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee concerning the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus disease.
