The Jiangsu delegation of deputies to the National People’s Congress has raised 22 motions and 465 proposals as of the deadline. The CPPCC National Committee members from Jiangsu have submitted 170 proposals to the country’s top political advisory body.
Chen Jie, an NPC deputy, submitted a proposal on the formulation of the "Rural Water Conservation Law" with the endorsement of 30 other NPC deputies from Jiangsu.
In the performance of his duties, he was well aware of the importance of rural water conservancy in rural revitalization and food security.
At present, water conservancy construction management services in the rural areas are subjected to inadequate systems and mechanisms, and insufficient coordination of departments.

The proposals submitted by the NPC deputies from Jiangsu concern varied topics such as cultivated land quality protection law, compiling education code, formulating legal system for free trade zone at national level, epidemic prevention and control, public health system construction as well as amending infectious disease prevention law and wildlife protection law. 90% of the proposals are concerned with legislative amendment bills.
In the meantime, The CPPCC National Committee members from Jiangsu have submitted 170 proposals to the country’s top political advisory body. The proposals are concerned with a variety of issues such as public health construction, expansion of domestic demand as well as ensuring stability on the six fronts and security in the six areas.
