East China’s Jiangsu province launched a fire emergency rescue training base Monday morning to usher in the national work safety month that falls in June each year. Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, addressed the event.
Wu Zhenglong pointed out that the provincial fire emergency rescue training base is a key project to comprehensively enhance Jiangsu's fire emergency rescue capabilities, and also a basic project to promote the modernization of Jiangsu's production safety governance capabilities and governance system.
Wu stressed the importance of strengthening work safety under the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, General Secretary’s important instruction on work safety and the important policies, decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
He demanded more efforts to enhance political stance, shoulder up the responsibility and promote work safety month by following General Secretary’s important exposition on work safety so as to leave no areas uncovered.
The Governor also called for the improvement of intrinsic safety level and the promotion of work safety and firefighting to a new level so as to fulfill this year’s goals for epidemic prevention and control and social and economic development.
Wu Zhenglong noted that the observance of the national work safety month should be carried out by publicizing General Secretary’s important instruction on work safety at the grassroots level so as to ensure stability on the six fronts and security in the six areas.
The six fronts refer to employment, the financial sector, foreign trade, foreign investment, domestic investment, and expectations. The six areas refer to job security, basic living needs, operations of market entities, food and energy security, stable industrial and supply chains, and the normal functioning of primary-level governments.
The Governor was also briefed on the details for the observance of the national work safety month in Jiangsu and the construction of the the provincial fire emergency rescue training base.
