The Jiangyin branch of Nanjing University of Science and Technology is expected to start receiving students in September, according to officials.
The university is located in the core area of the Jiangyin Harbor Economic Development District and has a planned area of 320,000 square meters. The main body will finish construction soon. It will be the first higher education institution in Jiangyin city.
In order to improve the school environment, workers from the Shengang sub-district have demolished nearby illegal structures.
The university also planned to establish joint laboratory with big names of industrial internet industry in 2021.
Nanjing University of Science and Technology is one of a number of key national universities and has more than sixty years of experience providing stimulating and enriching education. It has become a multi-disciplinary university offering science, engineering, liberal arts, economics, business, management, law, and education programs. Around 10,000 students will be able to study at the Jiangyin branch in 2020.
