The CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee held a study session on Monday to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions that we are witnessing major changes unfolding in our world, something unseen in a century. Among the top leaders present at the ceremony were Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Provincial Committee, Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, and Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the provincial committee of CPPCC.
Professor Zhang Weiwei, Dean of China Research Institute of Fudan University and Senior Researcher of Shanghai Chunqiu Research Institute, gave a lecture on "The Great Changes in a Hundred Years: System Advantages from the International Comparison of the Fight against COVID-19 Pandemic.
The report focuses on the comparison of anti-epidemic models between China and the West, the institutional reasons for China’s victory, reflection on the institutional disadvantages of the West, the post-epidemic world order and China, making it a unique discourse that elaborates on the pros and cons of the Chinese and Western systems and the evolution of the world pattern.
The participants had a more sober and profound understanding of the "strategic overall situation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation" and the "major changes unfolding in our world, something unseen in a century ", demonstrating their further confidence in the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
They expressed their determination to bear in mind the General Secretary’s important requirements and think in big pictures so as to promote the development of various undertakings in Jiangsu to a new height.
