XJTLU hosts Communications & Media Reception

SIP-based Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) hosted the XJTLU Communications & Media Reception 2020 on Nov 11 to share its insights on higher education reform in a post-COVID-19 world and give introductions to its latest achievements in integrated education.

At the event, XJTLU executive president Xi Youmin explained to the attendees in detail XJTLU’s strategies of promoting international education in the post-pandemic era. He said XJTLU will expand deployment in international education despite the impact of the global COVID-19 outbreak.

Xi also gave an introduction to XJTLU’s “Learning Mall (XJTLU-LM)” which was launched in May for the purpose of developing an innovative online-onsite learning ecosystem.

XJTLU-LM provides on- and off-line education through a diverse range of content providers, including other universities and industry partners from within China and overseas. It is leading a future trend of higher learning.

Apart from that, Long Zhizhong, vice president of Chinese high-tech company Sugon, Dr. Bill Boland, director of XJTLU-LM, Dr. Zhang Cheng from XJTLU’s Civil Engineering Department, Roland Sherwood, manager of educational technology at XJTLU, and Liu Ziyi, a sophomore from XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) campus, shared their opinions on education reform and development.
