The Department of Science and Technology of East China’s Jiangsu province recently released the last of seven lists of tech-based small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) it accredited this year for public consultation. A total of 187 SIP-based enterprises are on the list, amounting the number of SIP-based tech-based SMEs accredited this year to 2,630, which ranks first across Suzhou city and almost doubled that in SIP last year.
The tech-based SMEs commonly boast great capacity for independent R&D of technologies and high potential of growing into stronger high-tech enterprises. They can get both financial and policy support from the provincial government.
