Nantong Dasheng Group, founded by Mr. Zhang Jian in 1895, has never stopped production and operation in 126 years. Through continuous industrial transformation and upgrading, the entire spinning production process has been digitized.
The first domestic full-process digital spinning production line has reduced the number of workers per 10 thousand spindles to 15 and increased production efficiency by 15%.
Nantong is speeding up the construction of a 500-million-yuan intelligent spinning factory. Upon its scheduled operation at the end of 2021, the factory will realize the intelligent management of the entire process of spinning, logistics, and warehousing.
As one of the birthplaces of China's modern national industry, Nantong has relied on the real economy for more than a century to promote high-quality development at an exceptionally steady pace.
During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, Nantong has launched competitive industrial clusters such as high-end textile, shipbuilding and offshore engineering, new generation information technology, intelligent equipment, new materials, and wind power. Its GDP has exceeded 100 billion yuan for three consecutive years and is expected to exceed one trillion yuan in 2020.
Suzhou-Wuxi-Nantong Science and Technology Industrial Park has formed precision manufacturing represented by auto parts and a new generation of information technology represented by integrated circuits by completing a fixed asset investment of 31 billion yuan and registering the settlement of 2,840 enterprises.
Nantong is also advancing the construction of a new sea port in Tongzhou Bay, building an intelligent port for river-sea combined transportation and a green high-end port industrial base.
In the meantime, the city is speeding up the construction of six multi-billion-yuan projects with Zenith Green Fine Steel, Jinguang, and Tongkun PTA to be put into production this year.
